Job Title: Remote Financial Controller (100% Work From Home) Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Central Time, or as needed in order to successfully complete the job. Job Overview The Controller is an experienced accounting professional who supports the finance department with hands‐on leadership of various accounting processes and procedures for multiple companies. This position requires an individual with high level accounting knowledge, the ability and desire to manage various requirements, tasks and demands while also helping to lead improvement projects as assigned in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with financial statement preparation and monthly close processes and management reporting Support operational accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger processes Perform monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts Manage software integrations Maintain and report proper sales tax and federal excise tax by state – provide education as needed Maintain and track fixed assets Provide financial analysis and support to business leaders Respond to information requests and prepare documentation for external audits Assist with compliance and internal control improvements Perform payroll Perform other accounting duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with accounting software Analytical & Problem Solving Strong analytical thinker with curiosity to understand root causes Detail Oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent Communicator, able to communicate honestly and constructively Highly Collaborative, accountable and receptive to feedback Flexible and Open Minded, able to adjust to changing priorities Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience minimum (public accounting experience a plus) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation preferred Holiday pay: Six (6) holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) PTO: Five (5) paid days off Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
