Overview About Bright: Hey there We're Bright, a fintech solar energy startup on a mission to reverse climate change, starting in Mexico. We do so as a finance and technology layer powering the solar installer and entrepreneurial ecosystem — working hard to simplify the process through automation. We've coordinated everything needed to get solar on homes — from financing to installation — so customers can go solar with no money down. Responsibilities Join us as a VP of finance to help us scale clean solar energy across Mexico and the rest of LatAm. Financial Innovation: Lead the charge in identifying, evaluating, and implementing innovative financial technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our financial operations and decision-making processes. Risk Management: Oversee the development and implementation of risk management strategies and systems to protect the organization\'s financial assets, ensuring resilience in the face of changing economic landscapes. FP&A Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a forward-looking financial strategy that aligns with the company\'s long-term goals and objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial innovation at the strategic level. Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of the company\'s budgets, guiding departments on efficient resource utilization. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize cash to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Compliance and Governance: Ensure the company adheres to all financial regulations and standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate financial risks. Financial Education: Promote financial literacy across Bright, helping employees understand the impact of their roles on Bright\'s financial health, collaborating with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Requisitos We\'re looking for someone who Has 10+ years of experience in FP&A or operational finance Is comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely (Spanish is a strong plus as well) Is based anywhere in the US or Mexico "Peaks" in operational finance / FP&A Has helped scale businesses from $10mm-$100mm ARR Is hungry and scrappy (can get their hands dirty, biases towards action, and doesn\'t need a large support team) Beneficios Compensation / Benefits: The opportunity to learn firsthand about the distributed generation regulatory scheme in México while being a part of the fastest-growing startup in the country.
