Observability & Operations Manager – PepsiCo PepsiCo invites applications for the Observability & Operations Manager role. This position leads technical initiatives within the Operations Center to drive stability and innovation across our global services. Responsibilities Act as a technical lead specialist in PepsiCo’s Operations Center and drive overall science & technology stability. Drive the success of an AIOps‑based Command Center through anomaly detection, proactive incident identification, and senior‑management updates during major incidents. Collaborate with Operations leads and SMEs to provide monitoring and automation solutions that deliver maximum business benefits. Work with DevSecOps teams to ensure service reliability and minimize business impact. Partner with Major Incident Managers and MSPs to root‑cause high and critical incidents and identify automation opportunities. Provide technical and process guidance to team members and MSPs. Identify opportunities to improve operational stability and performance. Collaborate with Problem Management and MIM teams to enhance monitoring and operations. Focus on reducing Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for major incidents and improving Mean Time to Detect (MTTD). Work alongside Observability and Hyper‑Automation teams to increase observability and automation capabilities for PepsiCo’s Operations Center. Qualifications 5 years of experience in a Compute Operations or Compute Engineering role. 5 years of experience in an IT Command Center. Proficiency with Azure, AWS, PCF, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, VMware, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto. Experience with observability and AIOps tools such as Splunk, ElasticSearch, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Nagios, Graphite, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, BigPanda, MoogSoft, ITOM, and related solutions. Knowledge of AIOps platforms like Moogsoft, Big Panda, UiPath, ServiceNow ACC, Robotic Processing, AI and ML frameworks. Experience with automation/self‑heal capabilities and observability tools including Ansible, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Elastic, Kibana, Kafka, CloudWatch, Apache, Focus Run, TWS, SAP Solman, Nimsoft. API development experience using 3rd‑party libraries and REST/API. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. Vendor management experience.
