**Position Title: Finance Lead****Location**:Acuna Plant**Reports To**: Plant ControllerLead in coordination with plant controller to ensure that finance department contributes effectively towards the achievement of organizational financial goals and objectives by ensuring that prudent financial management systems and processes are applied in addition providing timely, relevant accurate financial information such as planning, forecasting, balance, P&L, costing, inventory control and economic outlook.**Responsibilities**:- Leadership and Capacity Building_- Leads and overall oversight of the Finance Department and provides consistent leadership to department personnel through regular meetings, effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.- Conducts regular training to the team on financial policies and procedures and best practices.- Leads and participates in special projects that further the goals of the Finance Department.- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding discussions and decisions made by Senior Management and takes all required actions to ensure that staff adhere to these requirements.- Encourage all members of the company to make all expenses, purchases, and requisitions in accordance with the guidelines established in Newell policy.- Operations Finance_- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company.- Oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and report.- Ensures that financial reports are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner.- Lead annual budget development process.- Review project budgets and monitor project expenditure in line with budget by maintaining a budget tracking.- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and forecasting modeling for company leadership.- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.- Analyze and coordinate activities associated with operations performance on site.- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.- Contribute as an active member in site projects that promote process/cost improvements- Coordinate changes in master templates with local operations.- Be responsible for the resins buying and selling process to be carried out correctly.- Material costing_- Lead the annual material costing process- Provide detailed product costing analysis and support in the evaluation of product costs (raw and manufacturing material).- Coordinate with engineers' team to resolve and correct costing issues.- Respond on time to pricing/commercial controlling requests.- Establish close communication with procurement team to ensure that material prices are projected correctly in any analysis- Fixed Assets _- Work with site engineers from the stage of evaluating capital proposals up until value realization/capitalization.- Monitor capital expenditures necessary to strengthen the installed capacity of the plant.- Make sure the inventory of fixed assets is physically aligned with the books.- Ensure the correct disposal of obsolete assets according with Newell policy- Project the depreciation of capital goods in a multi-year period.- Economic Outlook_- Monitor commodities in financial markets to anticipate shortage impacts on raw materials.- Estimate the impact of global inflation on material prices.- Monitor transportation environment (land, air, maritime) to estimate possible freight variations.- Inventory Management_- Plan, lead and supervise the annual cycle count program.- Train the team to carry out the cycle count program efficiently, aligned with Newell policy.- Achieve inventory control goals according with company alignments- Identified, analyzed, and addressing gaps in inventory.- Analyze statistical data and generate forecasting solutions.- Oversees all inventory audits (internals and externals)- Request and follow up the corrective action plan for any findings resulting from the audits.- Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, or engineering- Master's degree in Finance, Economics or similar (preferent)- Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business.- Knowledge of US GAAP Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal Controls.- At least 5 years of experience in financial or statistical analysis- At least 5 years of experience leading work teams- Experience in market research and macroeconomic analysis- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information- Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills- Working knowledge of costing processes.- Project Management- Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such Cognos, BI, Bex Analyzer, Access, etc.- Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint- Strong SAP knowledge- Bilingual- Skills:- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships- Ability to work
