OverviewSenior Analyst– Structured Finance – MexicoFitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Structured Finance group in Mexico City. Fitch's Structured Finance team in Mexico is responsible for the credit ratings of local and international public and private securitizations, backed by a wide array of assets (auto, consumer, equipment leases, residential mortgage, commercial mortgage, among others). In addition, the team oversees the operational ratings for a portfolio of Mexican Loan Servicers. Fitch is adding a highly motivated professional to the Structured Finance team as a Senior Analyst. The candidate will be responsible for assigning and reviewing ratings on various structured finance transaction types, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS and Future Flows, which involve modeling cash flows, legal documentation review, collateral analysis, preparing credit committee reports, and communicating credit opinions to investors and issuers. The candidate will also be responsible for assigning and reviewing operational risk ratings for Loan Servicers. Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop independent credit and operational views, have experience analyzing performance trends and macro trends, and have strong communication skills (written and verbal). What We Offer An opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency Ability to grow your presence in Structured Finance, along with the breadth and depth of your capabilities across different sectors, asset classes, structures and markets Get involved with Fitch’s tools, models and criteria throughout different asset classes Have access to a wide variety of market participants, from securitization companies to investors and arrangers To be part of an excellent and supportive team of analysts A rewarding role that is essential for the debt capital markets to make more informed decisions via timely, insightful and forward-looking rating actions and research We’ll Count On You To Lead and support in the analysis of transactions to provide high quality credit opinions to investors and other market participants for new, existing transactions and loan servicers, and present to internal rating committees Implement appropriate default and cash flow modelling to form opinions on future performance Analyze and review transaction legal documents to ensure compliance with Fitch’s criteria and models Produce high-quality internal and external written reports and communicate rating rationale to market participants through special reports, market commentaries, presale reports, presentations and meetings Assist and lead research projects for the region in coordination with his/her manager and Asset Heads for Structured Finance LATAM and USA Lead and assist in virtual and in-person meetings with originators, servicers and arrangers as part of the surveillance of existing ratings and the proposal of new ratings Actively participate in Fitch events representing our views What You Need To Have Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering or a business-related field with focus in Finance with a minimum of 2 years work experience Previous experience in credit analysis or within the financial industry Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively coordinate development of dynamically changing performance analytics needs Proven database management and macro-development skills Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, both in English and Spanish Quantitative and analytical thinking Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills Ability to actively participate in meetings conducted in English and Spanish, and read and comprehend legal documents Team orientation, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally What Would Make You Stand Out Previous experience in the Structured Finance sector from a credit perspective Experience with cash flow modeling or loss forecasting analysis Direct experience with securitization, either buy-side or sell-side is prized Thoughtful views on economic trends in Latin and North America, and expected impacts to consumer households and credit Passion for analysis, putting together themes and working with like-minded individuals VBA and/or SQL modelling is a plus Why Fitch?
