Position Summary Supervises the daily manufacturing operations performed in a shift or production line, ensuring volume, quality, safety and cost goals are met. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Coordinates and directs daily the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and metrics met. Investigates, troubleshoots and provides solutions to production problems. Provides direct supervision and training for production workers. Aids in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules. Inspects product to verify production specifications are met. Major Responsibilities Assign personnel to the corresponding activities as required by the company, ensuring they are properly certified for the assigned operation. Ensure personnel wear PPE and follow safety rules and operation instructions for the assigned equipment. Keep personnel informed of daily production goals and schedule. Measure hourly progress and take corrective actions if needed to meet the goal. Audit operators to ensure they follow the quality plan properly. Report daily progress of assigned production areas and take corrective actions for recovery where needed. Follow the “RIT” properly and use it as a baseline when addressing personnel in fault to any process or procedure. Promote fair treatment to all subordinates. Manage the payroll process, ensuring time records are accurate and overtime properly authorized. Conduct daily start‑of‑shift meetings with team members and the support team. Required Education / Experience / Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 2+ years as supervisor (Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production). Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years. Leadership. Drawing interpretation. Software knowledge (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Goal oriented. Teamwork. Problem‑solving skills.
