Their platform processes photos, videos, and voice notes captured in the field—even offline—and turns them into structured inspection reports with the help of a built-in AI assistant.Live since 2014 and used in 20+ countries, they’ve already processed over 100 million inspection photos and support more than 20,000 active users.The next phase of work focuses on backend scale, deeper API integrations, and infrastructure improvements—backed by a small, senior team.Your Role:This role starts with integrations and grows into broader backend ownership. You’ll work on systems that move critical inspection and property data between platforms—and improve how everything runs behind the scenes.You’ll:Develop backend services and APIs, primarily using PythonQuickly prototype, develop, and release new product features.Develop two-way sync with external platformsHandle schema differences, retries, and offline merge logic using queues (RabbitMQ)Collaborate with 4 experienced LATAM engineers and a technical founder / CTOHelp optimize data storage and real-time data processing systems.Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality improvements.You Bring:8+ years of backend development experience.Experience developing APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC).Comfortable with relational databases (like PostgreSQL or MySQL) and some experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).A proactive, flexible, startup mindset—comfortable with rapid changes.Good problem-solving skills and clear communication in English.Bonus Points:Experience in a product-focused team or fast-paced startupWorked with multi-tenant SaaS or media-heavy systemsHelped improve code reliability, performance, or internal toolingYou’ve owned API integrations from design through deployment and monitoringComfortable supporting AI-powered workflows or offline-first appsWhat’s Offered:Monthly pay in USD (contractor model, rate based on experience, usually 4-7k for senior roles)Flexible PTO, plus local holidaysRemote-first culture, async by defaultCollaborative senior team that shares ownership of systems and solutionsLong-term opportunity with a profitable, stable company focused on product quality.Interview Process1️⃣ Intro Chat (30 min) — Meet and ask questions2️⃣ Technical Interview (60 min) — Focused on past systems and integrations3️⃣ System Design Session (60 min) — Explore a real backend architecture problem4️⃣ Final Call with CEO (30 min) — Culture fit and offer #J-18808-Ljbffr
