This is a position with grade 14 Thisposition reports to R&D/Technology Manager Your role andresponsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity tosupport the strategic technology direction by contributing your ownideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovativetechnology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist theResearch and Development (R&D) team by executing your assignedtasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You willalso showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of theart and actively applying this knowledge. The work model for therole is: #LI-OnSite This role is contributing to theElectrification Area in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be mainlyaccountable for:
• Demonstrates good technical proficiency in owncompetence area. Performs a variety of technology / engineeringassignments, demonstrating ability to recognize problems andprovide input to solutions. Documents work and contributes towritten reports for area.
• Keeps informed of strategic plans andperforms activities in line with current direction.
• Contribute toresearch development (R&D) projects with own, creative ideas.Proposes follow-up activities based on project results.
• Works asa reliable R&D project member and has the capability to bework-. package responsible, applying a structure way of working.
•Gathers information about relevant ABB products and technologies inorder to achieve efficiency in own R&D activities and developsan understanding of technical drivers and customer value. Providesconsulting services to business operations and customers.Qualifications for the role - Bachelor´s Degree in Mechanical orElectrical or Electromechanical Engineer. - Experience of 2+ yearsin design engineering experience related to low voltagedistribution products such as Switchboards, Motor control centers,Switchgears etc. - Knowledge of design in sheet metal, copper, andplastics. - Has hands on experience with CREO and Windchill. -Awareness of Regulatory standards - NEC, ANSI, UL, NEMA standards.- Ability to perform Mechanical and electrical calculations foranalysis. - Advanced English Level. - Agile process knowledgeoriented.
