**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:- Monitor MRP forecasts, inventory, customer demand, production requirements, inventory transactions and reject material.- Use of statistics to proactively analyze usage patterns to determine a forward looking forecast- Determine material and component requirements base on the MRP system and ensure availability to support production schedules.- Review and adjust Kanban levels according to MRP reports, ensuring appropriate inventory management practices and cost-effective operations.- Create and maintain MRP classification codes in addition to reviewing Planning BOM accuracy to ensure correct component identification, ordering and release.- Maintain and setup supplier pull systems (KANBAN).- Key team member in planning, training, implementation, and support of a new Oracle ERP system.- Publish supply and demand tables for the purpose of communicating any gaps or excess- Determine allocation of parts between plants for scarce materials- Maintain ERP system parameters including material master data and performance criteria.- Analyze and escalate the requirements of the commodity (BOM), including preliminary specifications/documentation and date commodity is needed.- Interface with engineering on engineering change notice (ECN) issues and assign incorporation dates- Manage the phase in and phase out of material to avoid obsolete inventory and ensuring sooth product ramp for new products**QUALIFICATIONS**:**Minimum Qualifications**:Either 3 years' experience in Material Planning in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment or bachelor's degree in Operations Management.**Preferred Qualifications**:Prefer APICS Certification**COMPETENCIES**:- Demonstrating Ethics and Integrity- Establishing Effective Teamwork- Building and Maintaining Relationships- Communicating Effectively- Analysis, Solving Problems and Making Decisions- Managing and Developing Yourself—Self Awareness- Achieving Outcomes and Optimizing Processes, Procedures and Practices
