Platform Engineer: Storage (LATAM) role at Luxor TechnologyAbout TenkiWe started Tenki on the belief that compute is the new digital oil.As global demand for compute power accelerates, scalable and tradable compute is set to become one of the most valuable markets of our lifetime.Our goal is to become the leaders in harnessing, refining, and trading compute – unlocking a new asset class for the world's most important digital resource.Tenki connects producers of compute with a growing universe of consumers.Producers get transparent pricing, predictable settlement, and access to global demand.Consumers get simple, developer-friendly access to high-quality compute at competitive prices.We're currently building the consumer side, starting with GitHub Actions, enabling developers to offload workflows directly through Tenki.Soon, we'll expand to a broad suite of cloud services like Virtual Machines, Databases, AI Agents, and more.As we expand, our focus will broaden beyond consumers to include the supply side, enabling producers to offer compute through Tenki and later the development of financial instruments that support a more efficient and tradable compute market.About the RoleWe are looking for a Networking Engineer to join a small but talent dense team building the future of compute markets.Although the role is remote-based, you must reside or relocate to one of our hubs in LATAM (GMT-3) or the Philippines (GMT+8), and you should be fully comfortable communicating in English across our globally distributed team.This position will report to the Platform's Engineer Manager.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and evolve multiple production Ceph clusters from hardware selection and network architecture to configuration, tuning, and ongoing operations.Build efficient, generalizable APIs that leverage systems/kernel capabilities to enable safe, near-zero-downtime live migrations of stateful workloads.Design and implement storage-orchestration and control-plane services using Go, gRPC, ScyllaDB, and Temporal, connecting storage primitives to higher-level platform abstractions.Write clear Engineering Requirements Documents, taking ideas from conception to scoped tasks, implementation, rollout, and post-deployment evaluation.Develop a suite of foundational storage primitives used by customer applications and internal services, enabling advanced platform features like streaming image pulls, movable build caches, and more.About YouYou have deep experience building distributed systems and enjoy designing services that are fault-tolerant, resilient, and scalable.You have production experience with distributed block storage systems (e.G., CEPH) or a strong understanding of storage-cluster design from first principles.You understand modern filesystems (Ext4, ZFS, Btrfs), with bonus points for experience with next-gen systems (EROFS, bcachefs).You have strong intuition for system longevity and lifecycle management.You design solutions knowing that all systems age, where success often means seeing 2–3 orders of magnitude more scale within ***** months.You implement with care: You build the solution, instrument it, monitor its boundaries, and document what future engineers need to know when you're not around.You thrive in ambiguity: You can bring clarity, direction, and prioritization in an early-stage environment.You bring grit and ownership.You dive deep into problems, ship pragmatic solutions, scale them as demand grows, and replace them when the time comes.Equal OpportunityTenki does not accept unsolicited headhunter and agency resumes.Tenki will not pay any third-party agency or company that does not have a signed agreement with Tenki.At Tenki we believe that meaningful contributions can be made by anyone.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status.Tenki welcomes all#J-*****-Ljbffr
