ServicesTogether, we move the world.As an international leading development partner and supplier to the automotive industry, we at MAHLE are passionate about developing innovative solutions for climate-neutral mobility of tomorrow.Our focus is on e-mobility and thermal management as well as further technology fields to reduce CO2 emissions, such as fuel cells or highly efficient, clean combustion engines that also run on hydrogen or synthetic fuels.MAHLE generated sales of €11.7 billion in ****.Employing just under 68,000 people at 135 production locations and 11 technology centers, the company is represented in 28 countries.(as at: 12/31/2024).Join our MAHLE team#StrongerTogether- The Project Buyer is responsible for the achievement of fulfilling customer deliverables for all purchasing requirements of the project.Cost targets, working with approved supplier panel, development of new suppliers for the thermal management components, supplier PPAP timing, USMCA content while achieving purchasing related objectives & goals, manage cost and project timeline at the respective milestones and quality gates within PDP.Experience in purchasing, plastic injection parts, resins, aluminum strip stock, aluminum tubes, Electronics (EE) motors, heat exchanger components, steel/aluminum stampings, brackets, elastomers, aluminum fins/fittings etc.**Your Contribution**:- Leads Purchasing activities for components and materials as a key member of the project core team within the Product Development Process (PDP).Regional and global as assigned.- Inquire, evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers based on the approved supplier panel; additionally new supplier development for new products is required, ensure MAHLE Specification, quality expectation and market competitiveness are achieved.- In conjunction with Supplier Quality and Engineer create list of critical purchased components, coordinate and conduct technical reviews with suppliers.- Evaluate and assess supplier's quotations to ensure commercial, technical, and quality requirements are achieved.Evaluate and provide component costing based on program BOM timing.- Lead sourcing decision committees, in accordance with MAHLE Purchasing Procedures and work with commodity buyer (regional and global) to leverage best overall landed costs.- Ensure purchased components meet all program milestones, track and coordinate progress between supplier and development team.- Your Experience & Qualifications:- Proficient in English, bilingual in Spanish preferred.Knowledge of German, Japanese or Slovene is a plus.- Proficient in use of MS - Office, Internet, and office automation tools in general.- Strong communications skills, both oral and written.This includes strong persuasive skills, assertiveness, and ability to work under pressure, be analytical, proactive, and innovative.- Ability to read blueprints and specifications required.Additional experience with electric diagrams and BOM for electronics is a plus.- Familiarity with Quality and Manufacturing tools such as S.P.C., Poka-yoke, Pareto, Cause-Effect Analysis.- Knowledge of logistics, manufacturing processes, commodity markets and futures, and a strong understanding of component and product functionality are important assets.- Availability to travel domestically and internationally at a minimum of 30% (up to 50% during launch phase), most regularly to plant and locations in Mexico.**Our Offer**:**Do you have any questions?**- MX**Facts about the job**:- Entry level: Experienced hires- Part- / Full-time: Full Time- Functional area: Purchasing- Department: Services- Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, MX- Company: MAHLE Shar.Serv.(MX)**Your future at MAHLE**:As a team player and someone who thinks ahead, you can deploy all your skills with us.In cooperation with colleagues from different countries and areas, you contribute in designing the mobility of the future.When selecting MAHLE, you choose trend-setting technologies and strategies.Are you interested in working with us and developing efficient and environmentally-friendly solutions, optimising existing products, and turning innovative ideas into reality?Then MAHLE is the right address for you.Shape the future with us.
