General Accounting ResponsibilitiesThe Professional Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting, ensure accounting standards compliant reporting and guide a team of different functional areas at the Company.This role blends hands-on accounting execution with leadership, process optimization, and light internal client relationship management, reporting directly to Controller in MexicoSupport day-to-day general accounting and reporting activitiesPrepare various reports to support external reporting requirementsActively participate in projects such as business segment sales, ERP implementations, acquisitions, among othersAssist in budgeting and forecasting processes and provide financial analysis and insights to guide decision-makingServe as a point of contact for internal clients, providing accounting insights and clarity, with high impact for the CompanyDrive process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiencyResponsible for certain month & quarter end close activities such as:Manage full-cycle accounting: monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reportingWork cross functionally with department leaders to ensure their Operating expenses are correctly stated/prepare month end accruals for retail and general officeMake recommendations on process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the organizationSupervise and support the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to staff membersLead and mentor staff vendor to ensure timely and accurate deliverablesOther special projects as requiredAssist with audit and statutory activities such as:Coordinate statutory audits request in accordance with the relevant laws and standardsCollaborate in the execution of financial, compliance, and operational audits including the evaluation of internal controlsWork together with our advisors in preparing financial statements and notes theretoPrepare, coordinate and support the local statutory requests such as the Statutory Auditor's Report, Tax Authorities Audits among othersBasic Qualifications10+ years progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting.BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting requiredCPA or MBA equivalent strongly preferredHighly motivated, analytical, proactive, and self-sufficientMust be able to makehigh-impactdecisionsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with people on all levels, in person, via email or other digital formatMust have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructionsMust have the ability to multi-task projects simultaneously and be able to prioritizeProficiency in SAP/Microsoft Office/Excel/AO.Working in shared service and/or outsourcing environment a plusPrevious "Big 4" accounting experience preferredEnglish fluencyLocationMexico CityFull timeCurrent LS&Co Employees, apply via your Workday account.#J-*****-Ljbffr
