The role supports coordination between the Purchasing function and some Program teams (Engineering / Manufacturing / Cost Engineering) to support Serial Life Programs, programs that are currently in production. This includes responsibility of a dedicated perimeter, supporting the PPM during development by managing Cost Collaboration of the Change Management Process with stakeholders (including suppliers) through NA IT system.The mission is to connect internal and external partners to make Change Management governance the quickest and most efficient (cost / technical change) possible for the company.This program buyer role will align to our regional NA structure and report to the NA Cost Manager. This role is critical to improve efficiency and cost control for programs during serial life production.Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:Manage changes during the evolution of the part from SOP through end of life with focus on economic impact to the part and within program timingLead negotiator on engineering changes with the supplier. Confirm supplier cost and review cost and timing to ensure project targets are met or exceededLead liaison for the supplier on engineering changes, set up meetings with key internal stakeholders and supplier on an as needed basis to remove any roadblocksExpected Achievements include but not limited to:Analyze supplier provided pictures and documentation. Interact with suppliers to provide direct instructions and timely feedbackCollaborate with internal teams to ensure Purchasing and Program timing deliverables are metNegotiate supplier's economic impactsManage Cost Collaboration with supplier under timing constraintAchieve TPC targetStay updated with industry trends and advancements in perimeter of responsibilityBachelor of Science in Engineering or a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or related fieldProven ability to build and maintain strong regional and global relationshipsMust be well organized, self‑motivated, capable of managing conflict and resourceful when managing complex assignmentsMust be comfortable and excel in a fast‑paced environmentResults oriented and ability to lead cross‑functional teams both regional and globallyRobust negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategicallyRobust communication skills required, must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of managementPreferred Qualifications:Program Management CertificationEngineering change management knowledge/experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
