About Bright:Hey thereWe're Bright, a fintech solar energy startup on a mission to reverse climate change, starting in Mexico.We do so as a finance and technology layer powering the solar installer and entrepreneurial ecosystem - working hard to simplify the process through automation.In just a few years, we've become Mexico's #1 residential solar financier.We've coordinated everything needed to get solar on homes - from financing to installation - so customers can go solar with no money down.We've raised funding from top investors like First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Leonardo DiCaprio.Like we do, they believe we can grow exponentially while having fun and being one of the best places to work in solar.TareasAbout the positionJoin us as a VP of finance to help us scale clean solar energy across Mexico and the rest of LatAm.You'll help us with:- Financial Innovation:- Lease underwriting and contract innovation: Lead the charge in identifying, evaluating, and implementing innovative financial technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our financial operations and decision-making processes.- Risk Management: Oversee the development and implementation of risk management strategies and systems to protect the organization's financial assets, ensuring resilience in the face of changing economic landscapes.- FP&A- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a forward-looking financial strategy that aligns with the company's long-term goals and objectives.Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial innovation at the strategic level.- Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of the company's budgets, guiding departments on efficient resource utilization.- Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flow, managing working capital, and optimizing cash to ensure liquidity and financial stability.- Compliance and Governance:- Ensure the company adheres to all financial regulations and standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate financial risks.- Financial Education: Promote financial literacy across Bright, helping employees understand the impact of their roles on Bright's financial health, collaborating with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives**Requisitos**:We're looking for someone who- Has 10+ years of experience in FP&A or operational finance- Is comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely (Spanish is a strong plus as well)- Is based anywhere in the US or Mexico- "Peaks" in operational finance / FP&A- Has helped scale businesses from $10mm-$100mm ARR- Is hungry and scrappy (can get their hands dirty, biases towards action, and doesn't need a large support team)BeneficiosCompensation / Benefits- The opportunity to learn firsthand about the distributed generation regulatory scheme in México while being a part of the fastest-growing startup in the country.- A fun, high-caliber team that trusts you and gives you the freedom to be brilliant.- Possibility to generate equity at Bright- Private health insurance- Access to cost-free mental health care- Parental leave- Access to mentorship programs- Remote work
