What You'll DoThis position is with the Supply Chain Product Operations Security Team.The team supports the Next Generation Firewall Business Unit (NGFWBU) which is based in San Jose, California, USA.The product platforms are from ultra-high-end to low-end Security products.As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for providing functional test support, order verification, and HW quality support.You will "shift-left" by engaging early with Hardware & Software Design, Diagnostic, Global Mfg Ops, and Reliability Engineering teams.In short, primarily you will Develop test automation code using Python and support End-to-End test development on Security products.Responsibilities:- Deliver test strategies and test plans- Develop and deploy automated tests and processes- Develop code primarily using Python- Define and Design robust Test and Mfg Test Fixtures- Handle test capacity, expansion planning, and execution- Test optimization & Yield improvement- Early engagement during Concept Commit & Prototyping- Train Partner on products and test development tools & procedures- Reveal Root Cause and drive Corrective Action upstreamWho You'll Work WithWhen you join the team, you will be part of a highly motivated Development team.The team not only values the current business needs and is constantly exploring new innovative ideas to change the business.Who You AreAs a Development Engineer, you have knowledge of Python coding and CI/CD methodologies and tools used to deploy our solution.We are looking for a results-oriented engineer who thrives in an Agile team environment.You are self-motivated requiring mínimal direction leading and working with Design Teams & Contract Manufacturers.You seek constant improvement of product test development.You are energized and enthusiastic to learn new tools and create new processes to dynamically grow the business.Minimum Qualifications- MS in CS, CE, CIS, MIS- BS in CS, CE, CIS, MIS plus 1+ years' experience- Proficient in Software Programming - Python & Bash- Proficient in Coding Standards- Knowledge of SCM - Bitbucket & Gitlab- Experience in configuring Servers, Switches, & Routers- Independent, adventurous, and takes initiative- Adapt quickly in an iterative fashionDesired Skills- Agile methodology - ScrumMaster Certified- CI/CD process & tools - Jenkins & Static Analysis- Proficient with automation platform- Design lab experiments for Root Cause investigations to obtain Corrective Action- Hardware architectures, design concepts, and engineering development practices- Drive resolution of hardware design and diagnostic issues- Knowledge in Manufacturing Environment & Processes- Liaison between the Partner and Cisco
