Role Purpose The Business Analyst works closely with Business Partners and Subject Matter Experts to define, test, train, implement, and support functional requirements on medium to large, highly complex projects. You will elicit requirements, conduct cost analysis, and manage change requests using interviews, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions. You will also recommend resources and approve new features, ensuring projects follow the full systems development life cycle and are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Main Activities Deliver high‑quality, detailed business requirements, process design documentation, cost‑benefit analysis, and clear choice estimations. Ensure the use of standard methods/processes to deliver projects that adhere to the Project Delivery Process standards. Consistently seek ways of improving work processes. Build trusting relationships with internal customers by consistently eliciting requirements that meet and deliver upon their business needs. Maintain a high level of expertise in one or more functional and technical areas. Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of HSBC business needs, competitors, and emerging industry trends. Requirements Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent business experience in a related field. 1 to 3 years combined experience in technology, project management, banking, and/or operations. Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical and/or nontechnical projects. Solid knowledge of project lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Scrum). Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, written & verbal communication skills. SQL, Microsoft Excel desirable. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Basel, S166, Liquidity, financial reporting).
