Reporting to:CNC Programming SupervisorPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Review and process 3D CAD details and design blueprints.Create instructions/set-ups for machinists.Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.Verify completed programs by running simulations.Analyze and select optimal tooling, speeds, and feeds.Optimize and improve processes continuously.Comply with all safety rules and regulations.Other duties as assigned.Skills & Experience:Relevant experience related to checking fixture and automation details.Previous experience operating 3/5-axis CNC machines as a machinist.CAD/CAM experience – SolidWorks, PowerMill, and PowerShape an asset.FCS and other standardized work fixturing knowledge an asset.Excellent reading comprehension skills.Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Mechanically inclined.Ability to read blueprints and comprehend GD&T.Education:Minimum High School diploma.Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.#J-*****-Ljbffr
