On-Site Applications Engineer

**Role Summary**:Provide technical and commercial support to the sales area to obtain purchase orders fromthe products handled globally by FPD, through the preparation of technical offers andTrademarks of Flowserve Pump Division products, based on requestsof customers' quotes meeting the quality expectations of the offers**Responsibilities & Requirements**: Process, manage and lead each quote request that is assigned to searchspecify, when possible, in a purchase order with sales support.- Review and Analyze RFQs of FPD Original Equipment and Duplicate Equipment- Determine if there are products within the FPD catalog that can perform theservices demanded by each RFQ.- Generate the hydraulic selections and define the scope of supply based on theRequirements of the client.- Issue RFQs to suppliers of buy outs, components and accessoriesas needed.- Negotiate with suppliers to get competitive offers.- Review with Product Managers, Tactical Product Support Engineers and/or Engineering, thefeasibility of selecting equipment when necessary.- Carry out the initial review of the contractual commercial terms, terms and conditions of purchase and sale that accompany the quotation requests.- Prepare advanced review requests for the Contracts (Legal) team.- Prepare Sales Approval Requests (SAP) with details of strategies and costing ofin accordance with corporate procedures.- Maintain constant communication with the sales team to receive informationrelevant to help obtain purchase orders and to find out the status of purchase orders.offers.- Contact and inform the heads of the Business Units about theproject requirements.- Suggest and agree with sales the most convenient strategies for each case toincrease the possibility of success in each quote request received.- Send technical and commercial offers according to each RFQ in the time requested by theCustomers/Sales.- Register the opportunities and follow up with sales in the Flowserve system.- Carry out the initial review of purchase orders received by sales, for in itscase, enter them into the process to the corresponding business units or inform thesales if there are reasons why they cannot be accepted.- Maintain constant communication with your supervisor to report progress, obstacles,opportunities, to issue proposals and increase the possibility of success in each- Prepare the entry of purchase orders or contracts with the information providedfor sales.**Preferred Experience / Skills**: Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial/Chemical Engineer or similar.Conversational and technical English language proficiency.Mastery of written comprehension, writing andconversational fluency.Skills and KnowledgeHigh analytical capacity.Attention to details.Excellent technical reading comprehension.Ease of writing and treatment.Decision making.Proactivity and Organization.Capacity for immediate response to topics related to their responsibilities.Conversational and technical English language proficiency.Mastery of written comprehension, writing andconversational fluency.I work under pressure.Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics of centrifugal pumps.Interpretation of Drawings and technical documentation.Preferred ExperienceMinimum experience of 1-2 years in estimating metalworking equipment, budgets,basic experience in selection of rotodynamic equipment.Your skills and experience are important.working with technical specifications and technical documents.As well as understanding andexperience working with technical requirements, commercial terms.\#COS**Primary Posting Location**: Santa Clara Coatitla, Mexico**Job Advertising Title**: On-Site Applications Engineer**Job Posting Category**: Engineering/R&D**Employment Type**: Full time**Auto req ID**: *****BR**Country**: MexicoFlowserve is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, gender, disability or protected veteran status.Click here to learn more.Flowserve will also not discriminate against an applicant or employee for inquiring about, discussing or disclosing their pay or, in certain circumstances, the pay of their co-workers Click here to learn more.
