**Summary of the role**As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.**ES**S **ENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Conduct regular EHS internal audits and identify EHS deficiencies and improvement opportunities.Develop corrective actions and prepare project charters as needed to provide EHS solutions.- Establish a close liaison with Nordson Corporation to address corporate EHS policy compliance.- Establish a close liaison with the external federal, state, and local EHS regulatory compliance and participate in external audits and responses as required.- Responsible for establishing, implement and maintain the processes, records, and documentation necessary for the environmental management system following Mexican EHS regulation- Lead or coordinate EHS projects execution and follow-up.- Establish a program to track EHS related activities and develop and present status reports to managerial staff.- Responsible for the development and the deployment of EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines; assuring facility operation follows regulatory requirements.- Develop, coordinate, and conduct training sessions on EHS topics.- Support equipment procurement and installation activities (IQs) by providing EHS risk analysis.- Participate in budget preparation and tracking of expenses related to EHS.- Manage EHS documentation regarding projects, audits, and certifications.- Review accidents and incidents, coordinate root cause analysis investigations and required reporting, and manage corrective actions.- Support engineering and maintenance activities regarding process development or process improvements.- Follow medical device manufacturing best practices (GMP, GDP, etc.), current Nordson policies and procedures, ISO *****, 21CFR Part 820 and other applicable regulations to ensure compliance to applicable customer and regulatory requirements.- Acts as a consultant for areas related to his/her expertise.- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:**To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty**satisfactorily.**The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.****Required Education**:- Bachelor's degree in industrial / chemical / materials / mechanical engineering is desired**Required Length & Type of Experience**:- 1-3 years of experience in EHS responsibilities- Experience in the following areas:- Leading cross-functional teams and projects- Experience in performing safety internal audits- Writing investigation reports and project plans.- Industrial equipment /fire control systems.- Manufacturing / Process / Facilities engineering related work experience.- Related experience within international standards OSHA, ISO *****, ISO ************, FDA and European quality systems requirements (QSR, MDD), and risk management (ISO *****, DFMEA and PFMEA) is desired.**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's)**:- Knowledgeable in EHS regulatory standards.Formal training and/or certification is desired.- Knowledge of the regulatory of the Secretaria de Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS).- Knowledge of the regulatory of the Mexican Environmental and health departments (PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, COFEPRIS, SSA, stc.)- Ability to write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos in both English and Spanish.- Ability to solve practical problems.- Capable of quickly dissecting situations and solving problems.- Able to operate and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, fluid environment.- Strong verbal skills.- Must have a leader attitude.- Ability to operate basic industrial equipment and tools.- Ability to develop an understanding and practice of Nordson values and competencies- Values cultural diversity and other differences; fosters an environment where people who are culturally diverse can work together cooperatively and effectively in achieving organizational goals.COMPUTER SKILLS:- Proficient in navigation and use of the Windows operating system in a networked environment.Solid understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:**The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical demands required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.**- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently required to talk, or hear, occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb o
