At YETI, we believe that time spent outdoors matters more than ever and our gear can make that time extraordinary.When you work here, you'll have the opportunity to create exceptional, meaningful work and problem solve with innovative team members by your side.Together, you'll help our customers get the high-quality gear they need to make the most of their adventures.We are BUILT FOR THE WILD.The Quality Specialist will be responsible for conducting quality control inspections of in-process and pre-shipment products at local facilities.This includes visual evaluation, functional testing as applicable and packaging & labeling verification.The Quality Specialist will conduct process and QMS audits of YETI's supplier/partners to ensure process a control plan compliance.The Quality Specialist will also work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure clear and accurate communication of inspection results and opportunities for improvement of the product and inspection processes.**Responsibilities**:- Conduct on-site pre-shipment inspections at local facilities- Perform product audits, as requested, on items manufactured by the supplier- Conduct finished good (out of box) product inspections as required- Provide timely, detailed reports and photographic evidence of product, packaging, labeling, defects noted, etc. for all product or pre-shipment inspections performed- Document inspection activities by completing reports and logs- Perform audits on supplier inspections to ensure supplier compliance to documented QMS and product quality controls- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers to facilitate necessary quality improvements within supplier environments- Request and facilitate the review and follow-up of corrective actions taken to resolve any product defects identified during product audits and inspections- Work with global cross functional teams within YETI that are involved with supplier quality and development- Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with QMS and control plan requirements, and produce actionable audit summaries and reports- Perform other duties as assigned**Qualifications and Attributes**:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related degree- At least 0-2 years of working experience in supplier quality inspection within a global environment- Fluent English with excellent written communication skills- Previous experience conducting process and quality system audits- Ability to communicate frequently within international teams- Familiar with common international certifications (ISO****, SA**** etc.) and related quality management system tools, including FMEA's and Control Plans- Must have ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material lists and inspection standards- Working experience with supplier inspections- Working knowledge of various office software including Microsoft Office, Box and Video Conferencing technologies- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with the following processes (PDCA, 5W, 8D)- Ability to work well in independent and group problem-solving situations- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills- Strong attention to detail- Must have experience using manual inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.)- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through- Must be able to meet deadlines within a global environment- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision- Strong communication skills and must be willing to take initiative to drive for solutions- Strong teamwork with ability to collaborate within global environments where teams may be dispersed**YETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.**LI-ES1 #LI-OnsiteYETI Global Workforce Data Privacy Notice
