Risk Manager, Payments Risk, Seller Partner Risk

Bachelor's Degree or certificate of completion of studies required- 5+ years of experience in a financial institution, licensed money transmitter, audit, payments, e-commerce, or operational risk management environment.- Former role in risk management with knowledge of the following regulatory and industry requirements and standards of AML (including Know Your Customer).- Experience with risk based analysis of products, vendors, and significant operational changes.- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Responsibilities- Second-line program level ownership to include Americas and Mexico Risk programs which may include product risk, business continuity and resiliency, and third party risk.- Identify and develop appropriate data sources and elements which contribute to risk-based assessments.- Own, maintain, and annually update policies, procedures, and other governance documents, as necessary.- Provide regional regulatory expertise and guidance for payments entities in any of the following: North and South America.- Develop detailed, data driven narratives to inform Board members of risk levels, mitigations, and impacts.- Perform operational deep dives on compliance-related processes and systems.Understand payments business processes, regulations, and controls and work with partners to identify root cause of issues.- Identify, track, and report key risk indicators.- Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.About the teamInclusive team cultureAt Amazon we embrace our differences and we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.We host annual and ongoing learning experiences.Amazon's culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.Work Life BalanceWe believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment.We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.Mentorship & Career GrowthOur team is dedicated to supporting new members.We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship.We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional.Mexico City, DIF, MEX- Payments controls and risk management experience highly preferred- Experience in global risk programs addressing multiple regulatory regimes- Understanding of modern transaction processing environments is a plus.- Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results.- Ability to think both strategically and tactically.- Ability to manage and analyze data.- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.- Very comfortable managing through ambiguity with strong bias for action.- Ability to travel internationally 1-2 times annually.
