This role will be responsible for optimizing business processes using the Informatica PowerCenter ecosystem and ETL processes.The person in this position will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate functional requirements into scalable, efficient, and secure solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence projects, along with solid development best practices and a continuous improvement mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability.Map and model data for Data Warehouses and Data Marts, including physical data modeling and transformation rules.Optimize ETL performance in complex scenarios and estimate database and file system resource needs.Manage code migrations across environments and coordinate both initial and incremental data loads.Review and monitor testing (unit, integration, UAT) to ensure accurate and validated results.Coordinate ETL activities in pre-production and production environments, ensuring stable operations.Ensure compliance with data governance standards, including metadata management, data quality controls, and documentation best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBAs, architects, QA, business analysts) to refine requirements, resolve dependencies, and guarantee end-to-end data flow integrity.Participate in the design of ETL/ELT architectures and contribute to architectural decision-makingPerform formal code reviews (peer review) to ensure compliance with development standardsIdentify areas of improvement within existing data pipelines and propose optimization strategies (continuous improvement)Lead incident resolution for critical ETL issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Participate in project effort estimations and planningDefine development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for the ETL teamMentor Junior and Mid-Level developers, supporting their technical growth and developmentYour profileWe are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid background in data integration technologies. The ideal candidate is someone who:Brings over five years of experience in ETL development and data integrationApplies strong software development and data engineering principles, with hands-on expertise in developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenterProven experience working with Oracle databases, including SQL development, data modeling, and performance tuning to support reliable data processing and business reportingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field. Proof of academic credentials and professional license number requiredEnglish proficiency at B2 or higher (required)3+ years of programming experience with strong knowledge of Informatica Power Center3+ years of experience in ETL development, implementation, and performance optimization3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence projects, participating in full development lifecycle activitiesStrong ability to understand functional requirements and conduct technical requirement gathering with clientsProven experience in designing and implementing data models for Data Warehouses and Data MartsSolid knowledge of relational databases and advanced proficiency in SQLAdvanced knowledge of UNIX, including shell scripting, log analysis, and job automationIntermediate experience with Control-M for scheduling, monitoring, and managing ETL jobsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work proactively, and collaborate effectively within a team environmentExperience designing ETL/ELT architectures and data integration frameworksAdvanced proficiency with Git and version control workflows (branching strategy, code versioning)Experience leading or coordinating small technical teamsAbility to interact directly with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutionsStrong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills in technical contextsLocationThis position is based in Mexico City and primarily follows a remote work model, with occasional on-site meetings as needed for business purposes.Why us?At Mirai Risk Tech, our people are our greatest asset.
