OverviewBPA Manager - Corporate FunctionsAt Alcon, we are driven by the meaningful work we do to help people see brilliantly.We innovate boldly, champion progress, and act with speed as the global leader in eye care.Here, you'll be recognized for your commitment and contributions and see your career like never before.Together, we go above and beyond to make an impact in the lives of our patients and customers.We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.As a BPA Manager supporting the Corporate Functions team, you will be responsible for direct financial planning and decision support for the IT organization.Core capability for this role includes autonomous month-end close support, direct business partnering for the IT leadership team and their finance SPOCs, project accounting involving complex technology investments and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.The individual should exhibit effective communication skills and have a desire to grow within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesExperience running month-end close processes with autonomy and adherence to month-end close timelines.Mastery of fundamental variance analysis including ability to distill and synthesize issues and communicate key messages to supported finance and business teams for corrective action.Experience in the financial management of capital investments, including application of accounting rules and ensuring compliance with Alcon CAR and MAL policies.Technical competency to build, load and validate financial planning submissions in appropriate global systems (Strat Plan, Budget, periodic forecasts, etc.).Desire to build strong and productive relationships with business partners in an evolving landscape with shifting priorities and dynamic resource allocation.Ability to challenge status quo and assumptions from business constructively to ensure financial objectives are met.Lead and develop BPA Financial Analyst, IT CI in core BPA skills around monthly forecasting & planning and month-end activities, including capex reporting, accruals and prepaids.What You'll Bring to AlconEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.5+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision-making and managing large pools of data in Excel.Proactive, enthusiastic, and curious with a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and work in high-pressure situations.Knowledge of SAP, BI, PowerPoint tools.Ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly.Desire to learn about technology investments.Excellent written and verbal English skills.How You Can Thrive at AlconOpportunity to join a growing, early-stage organization built within a mature, stable global company.Friendly working environment and a diverse and highly motivated team.Individual career development plan and possible career growth within a newly created account.Truly international environment and daily interactions with colleagues and stakeholders from all over the world.Attractive benefits & compensation package.Flexible hours and remote work possibilities (min 3 days per week office-based).#J-*****-Ljbffr
