Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:You may know McCormick as a leader in herbs, spices, seasonings, and condiments – and we're only getting started.At McCormick, we're always looking for new people to bring their unique flavor to our team.McCormick employees – all 14,000 of us across the world – are what makes this company a great place towork.We are looking to hire aDirect Tactical Buyerin a Hybrid ******) capacity for our site inMexicoCity.This is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.Please submit your CV in English.What We Bring To The Table:The best people deserve the best rewards.In addition to the benefits, you'd expect from a global leader (health insurance, paid time off, etc.) we also offer:Competitive compensationFlexibility and Support for Diverse Life Stages and ChoicesWe prioritize our communities and the planet we shareWellbeing programs including Physical, Mental and Financial wellnessPosition Overview:Under the supervision of the Materials Manager, incumbent coordinates and conducts the purchase of ingredients, MRO, services, packaging to support production and CAAP equipment.The Buyer must assure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and follow appropriate accounting practices.The position is responsible for maintaining positive and constructive relationships with vendors.The Buyer is responsible for the collaborative development of strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk and ensures highest levels of service, quality standards, and cost efficiency.The Buyer may also lead and assist in continuous improvement projects focused on improving packaging design, durability and cost.Main Responsibilities:Work within the Systems of High Performance (Goal Setting, Performance Management, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Training & Development, Information Systems, Rewards & Recognition) to ensure maximum benefits for the resources expended.Conducts Supplier Performance Management by assuring vendor compliance in terms of delivery and quality.Participates in supplier reviews.Manage existing supplier relationships, cultivate new supplier relationships.Facilitates contracts and pricing agreements w/suppliers.Participates in planning and forecasting process and establishing standard costs.Interact with Plant leadership to specify the precise product standards and service criteria that is expected from McCormick suppliers.Optimizes buying power and CBAs (current best approaches) by working collaboratively with Buyers from other McCormick divisions.Maintain cost containment for supply chain and plant purchases.Under the direction and leadership of the Manager, leads and assists in continuous improvements projects focused on reducing costs and improving efficiencies.Provide assistance to Engineering and Operations regarding required purchases and acquisitions related to CAAP's.Serve as liaison to Corporate Purchasing and will provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to vendor performance and issues.Serve as a liaison for vendors and preferred suppliers.Places daily orders with vendor, monitors the process, and expedites deliveries.Analyzes product usages to maintain safely stock levels to optimize both cost and service and meet inventory objectives.BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required.Experiences in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment FMCG preferred with appropriate business experience in Procurement/Logistics, Information Technology, and/or Materials Management.Demonstrated proficiency with PC software, especially SAP, Excel , Word, and Lotus Notes.Strong contractual / negotiation and written and verbal communication skills.Has broad knowledge of Sourcing process and has developed an expertise in one or more categories of responsibility.Is expected to independently research other options, develop project plan/proposals and initiate discussions with supervisor to gain approvals.Has proven effective verbal and written communication skills.Has demonstrated effective negotiation skills w/some direction or oversight provided.Developed communication skills to exchange sometimes complex information.As an Equal Opportunities employer, McCormick is committed to an inclusive workforce.WHY WORK AT MCCORMICK?United by flavor.Driven by results.As a McCormick employee you'll be empowered to focus on more than your individual responsibilities.You'll have the opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself—to have a say in where the company is going and how it's growing.Between our passion for flavor, our 130-year history of leadership and integrity, the competitive and comprehensive benefits we offer, and our culture, which is built on respect and opportunities for growth, there are many reasons to join us at McCormick.#J-*****-Ljbffr
