About the RoleGrade Level (for internal use) : 09The Role & ImpactThe Pricing and Purchasing team at S&P Global Market Intelligence delivers vital price cost and inflation information that helps companies recognize millions of dollars in cost savings.We do this by pulling apart the cost structure of our clients suppliers and providing a detailed analysis of their prices costs demand and productivity.This gives our clients a strategic advantage in negotiating with suppliers as well as a blueprint of when to make big purchases and why.The ImpactS&P Global Market Intelligence is looking for a data-driven analyst monitor forecast and present the price outlook for their assigned this role you will work directly with clients in support of sales answering ad-hoc pricing questions demonstrating our price forecast methodology and explaining our current outlook.What's in it for youWe are seeking an Economist / Data Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to join this growing this role you will develop enhance and expand our analyses and forecasts with specific emphasis on translating insights into relevant actionable client solutions.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and update the historical and forecast dataActively participate in forecast model development effortsForecast near-term prices for a global buying audienceCreate monthly and quarterly reports with emphasis on the drivers of the near-term price outlookRespond to clients research-related questions by providing thought leadership and timely insightWhat We're Looking ForBA / MA in Economics plus 3-5 years of related experience.Strong and adaptable research and analytical skills including ability to interpret data and research and write / produce structured compelling reportsStatistical / modeling experience preferably in EViewsCoordination skills; ability to prioritize own workload and work to deadlines and under pressureStrong team spiritCustomer-focused backgroundData Analytics, Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, R, Data Visualization, Tableau, Data Management, Data Mining, SAS, Data Analysis Skills, AnalyticsEqual Opportunity EmployerS&P Global is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race / ethnicity color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin age disability marital status military veteran status unemployment status or any other status protected by law.Only electronic job submissions will be considered for employment.Employment TypeFull-TimeExperience3-5 years#J-*****-Ljbffr
