THE POSITION Our client, North America’s and Mexico’s leading distributor of shipping, packaging, and industrial supplies, seeks a dynamic Sales Manager based in either Toluca (Metepec or surrounding area) or Mexico City (preferably in western Mexico City like Santa Fe, Polanco, Condesa, Roma Norte, San Angel, Coyoacan would be ideal) to lead and elevate a high-performing team of 3 to 5 sales representatives. The Sales Manager will need to visit the Toluca office generally twice per week. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic growth and market expansion across the Estado de Mexico and Mexico City region. This is a unique opportunity to represent a powerhouse brand, mentor rising sales talent, and make a measurable impact in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. Essential Job Functions Coach, develop, and drive performance of a team of 3 to 5 sales representatives through weekly 1 : 1s, strategic guidance, and accountability to ensure call mix targets and sales goals are consistently met. Execute high-impact field engagement, conducting 10+ joint customer calls monthly and 2 side‑by‑side weekly to evaluate in‑field execution, reinforce the company sales process, and deliver real‑time performance feedback. Lead from the front, completing 20+ individual sales visits annually to energize open territories and drive results during sales blitzes. Design and facilitate dynamic weekly sales meetings to deliver tactical coaching, skill‑building, and motivation that aligns with company goals and sales excellence. Present and promote company’s solutions, effectively demonstrating product value and key differentiators to convert prospects and deepen customer relationships. Own customer experience, proactively resolving issues and ensuring every interaction reinforces the company’s commitment to excellence. Achieve and exceed revenue objectives, analyzing sales trends and market data for territory to implement precision strategies that meet gross profit and regional growth targets. THE CANDIDATE Candidate Qualifications and Competencies Previous experience as a sales manager in the Mexico City and Estado de Mexico region with a hunter profile in B2B environment. Experience with sales distribution is ideal (i.e. packaging, industrial supplies, shipping materials, etc.). Will also consider experience in sales to manufacturing sector or waste management, as well. Deep understanding of sales strategy, product knowledge, sales reporting, and the ability to confidently communicate value propositions to diverse customers at the top management level. Proven ability to develop tailored growth plans for sales representatives, whether addressing performance gaps, elevating sales capabilities, or preparing high‑potential talent for future leadership roles. Strong career ambition with a desire for advancement; willingness to relocate within Mexico and the U.S is a plus (relocation assistance provided). Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire team members and customers alike. Demonstrated leadership excellence, including mentoring, coaching, and driving team performance in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. Outstanding organizational abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. Must be very process oriented. Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory for team development, customer engagement, and company meetings, including occasional travel to remote areas. Familiar with CRM like Salesforce is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license, valid U.S. tourist Visa and have access to reliable transportation. Fluent in English and Spanish.
