-Job descriptionIf you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join our Global Service Center - HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of**Paralegal**The Paralegal role on the Global Service Center Legal team will act as an extension of onshore Legal teams, providing remote support for a number of para-professional activities that do not require direct on-site interaction.The scope of activities will continue to evolve as the team matures; however, initial expectations for the role will include the following:- Document Preparation and Review (multiple practice areas)- Assist in the preparation and review of routine legal documents including Powers of Attorney, Guardianship Documents, Trust Agreements, and Real Estate Documents.- Consolidate changes and grammatical corrections on revised agreements.- Create simple agreements using existing templates, e.g., amendments and assignments.- Produce first draft of Global documents with standard US terms included for attorney review.- Project manage the completion of negotiations.- Assist with creation of guidance documents, clause banks and other contracting tools.- Analyze the level of legal expertise required for routine transactions and escalate to onshore attorney as needed.- Analyze complex corporate structures for credit and lending transactions.- Generate and distribute monthly and ad hoc reports.- Conduct legal research as needed.Requirements- Legal background; familiarity with contracts and templates.- Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.- Ability to demonstrate adherence to internal controls, relevant processes, and procedures.- Creative and practical problem-solving skills, leveraging a sense of curiosity when completing activities.- Ability to identify and escalate barriers timely and effectively.- Comfort with collaborating across US onshore team members and local stakeholders.- Meticulous attention to detail.- Ability to succeed in high pressure environment with competing priorities.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word.- Fluency in English (verbal and written).You'll achieve more when you join HSBCAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.Our paid leave package is at the forefront in Mexico, now you have one more reason to be HSBC and proudly live a culture of well-being, balance and care**Issued by HSBC Electronic Data Processing (México) Private LTD
