Senior Analyst, Origination & ExecutionDepartment: Origination & Execution (M&A)Employment Type: Full TimeLocation: Mexico CityDescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Origination and Execution team in Mexico at Cubico.This position will work on projects in Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay, but the focus will be predominantly in Mexico.The Senior Analyst role plays a key part in supporting the senior investment professionals in the firm.The core pillar of the role is to build and maintain complex financial models to support investment transactions.The Senior Analyst will support business development with fast, focused analysis and judge the right level of detail required for each decision.Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be involved in the various transaction and financing processes, be it acquisitions or the commercialisation of our own development projects.Based in our Mexico City Office, you will be part of a dynamic team and will be given a great deal of responsibility and opportunity to develop your career over time.The role requires a proactive, inquisitive and flexible mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial models for the development, acquisition and project financing of renewable energy projects based on project-specific characteristics and assumptions.Support in the preparation of internal investment materials for these renewable energy projects.Support due diligence review of potential new investment opportunities.Analyse and compare investment opportunities, utilizing discounted cash flow.Initial quantitative and qualitative appraisal of transactions to establish whether specific investment opportunities are worth pursuing.Research and analysis of industry information, technical and financial data.Key StakeholdersSenior O&E membersDirector of Financial AnalysisCountry Head, MexicoOther Functional Departments especially the Legal Team, Finance Team & the Technical TeamSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseThe ideal candidate will have an academic background in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or similar degrees.Strong academic background.Excellent financial modeller – able to operate and manage detailed financial model.Fluency in English and Spanish required (written & verbal), any other languages are a plus.Familiarity with project finance structures and process (advantageous).Experience in corporate finance / accountancy is desirable.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent analytical skills.Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive and flexible.Practical and commercial approach.Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities.Team player able to thrive in a cross-cultural environment.#J-*****-Ljbffr
