**Job Summary**The **_Presales Mechanical Engineer HVAC _**is a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Solutions Specialist, a crucial member of the Integrated Modular Solutions team during the early engagement phases of customer programs.The position will require competencies in HVAC but also structural, mechanical, electromechanical, controls and associated disciplines required to provide system level solutions to our customers.**Responsibilities**:- Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents- Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team- Concept design of HVAC architecture and equipment- Understanding of relevant codes and standards for HVAC equipment and installations- CAD Modeling- Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, controls, fire protection)- Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers- Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers- Providing HVAC design documents- Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions- Support SA and sales team**Requirements**:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree- At least 5 years' experience in similar type role- Proficient in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system design- Good CAD capabilities including the ability to represent layouts and HVAC schematic diagrams, as well as specifics of custom HVAC sub-systems associated with electrical power supply, cooling, and mechanical devices- Knowledge of CFD tools and modeling- Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components to an end-customer deployment- Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment- PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl.Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD**About Vertiv****Equal Opportunity Employer
