We prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and guest experiences.The RoleWe are looking for a Staff Full-Stack Engineer who will lead the design, development, and ongoing optimization of the systems that power our pricing strategies, third-party integrations, and broader operational capabilities at Kasa. You will take ownership of complex architectural decisions to ensure reliability, scalability, and alignment with evolving business needs, while writing high-quality, well-tested code and performing code reviews that set the bar for technical excellence.As a Staff Engineer, you will shape architecture, mentor the team, and drive the technical direction of Kasa\'s internal operational platform. You will serve as the primary point of contact for one or more product areas, coordinating cross-functional activities and ensuring successful delivery. You will collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to scope ambitious projects, define objectives, and ensure delivery. You will help shape the long-term technical roadmap by anticipating challenges, proposing solutions, and championing best practices. You will own the systems you oversee from troubleshooting to performance optimization to ensure uninterrupted live operations.Team and EnvironmentOur Product & Engineering team spans the United States, Mexico and Hungary. We practice an agile, two-week sprint development process and value engineers who contribute to a collaborative culture. The department comprises two teams:Formula RC (Revenue and Channels): revenue management tooling and third-party channel integration, building the data and financial platform to power operations at scaleHospitality: property management system development, delivering seamless digital experiences for guestsYou are applying for the Formula RC team. Interest in F1 is appreciated but not required.ResponsibilitiesLead architectural initiatives that impact multiple teams and encourage adoption of new frameworks and practicesDevelop deep knowledge of the full technology stack and evolve the architecture to support future requirementsEnsure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability by upholding best practicesWrite, review, and maintain high-quality, well-tested codeTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems to ensure uninterrupted live operationsMentor engineers and facilitate cross-functional collaborationExperience and Qualifications8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a staff or senior roleProven track record leading complex, cross-functional projectsStrong proficiency in Node.js-based web frameworks (e.g., Nest.js)Experience with cloud architectures and tools, particularly AWS (Lambda, Fargate, ECS, EKS)Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB)Strong time management, communication, and collaboration skillsFamiliarity with agile methodologies and rapid iterationStrong EQ and ability to foster collaboration across teamsWillingness to travel 1–2x per quarter to San Francisco or Hungary, as neededLeadership QualitiesDevelop delegation skills to amplify the effectiveness of teammatesStrengthen communication and cultivate a positive team cultureAdopt a solution-oriented mindset aligned with business goalsBenefits and LogisticsThis position is based in Mexico via EOR for a U.S.-based company.
