About JBT MarelJBT Marel is one of the largest solutions providers to the global food processing industry, serving the fruit, vegetable, meat, poultry, seafood, and bakery industries.BenefitsCompetitive health and welfare benefitsThree options of medical coverage through United HealthcareTwo options of dental coverage through Delta DentalVision coverage through VSPPaid holidaysPaid vacationCompany paid Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance401(k) retirement plan with company match – up to 6.5%Tuition Reimbursement (eligible after 2 years)Employee discounts on products and servicesField Service TechnicianThe Field Service Technician will be responsible for the customer site installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as training, retrofits, service, and preventative maintenance.Projects will vary in length between a few days to 4 weeks.Key responsibilities include:Install & commission new systems within the schedule and budget provided by the project team.Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of equipment; be available for customer care at short notice.Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment with the coordination of clients, such as equipment inspections and small repairs.Provide advisory services during equipment install, service, and repair visits by instructing third parties and performing quality reviews to ensure that quality standards are being met.Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and mechanical CAD drawings, P&ID's, and flow schemes.Accurately prepare and submit inspection reports, service reports, time sheets, and expense reports in a timely manner to Field Service Coordinator or Field Service Manager.Adhere to JBT Marel dispatch and other employee policies.Inspect assembled equipment to ensure proper installation; inspect all operating parts to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.Maintain inspection records of equipment; determine trends affecting equipment and assess how to make corrections.Recommend equipment modifications to eliminate future performance problems and replacement part orders.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.Interact with internal and external project managers during field projects.Consult with the engineering team to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.Clearly and professionally interact with customers regarding the status of commissioning, daily.May supervise/train customer employees and/or employees in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum performance.Ensure that time sheets are signed off by the customer and inform the customer prior to working additional time in which customers would be invoiced.Take and respond to customer service, emergency, and breakdown calls during business hours.Travel, approximately 90%, up to 6 weeks at a time.Qualifications3–5 years of experience in a Field Service Technician capacity.AS, AAS, or equivalent education/work experience.Willingness to travel up to 90% domestically and internationally.Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical prints, along with PLC ladder logic, is a plus.Use of precision measurement instruments.Proactive mindset, self-starter, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working as a team.Ability to work independently.Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, & web-based databases.Experience installing multimillion-dollar capital equipment products.Experience with ultra-high pressure or water jet cutting machines desired.Previous work experience in a food processing facility desired.Valid Driver's License and valid passport.CompensationThe estimated annual salary range for this role is $62K - $84K.Equal Opportunity EmployerJohn Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and qualified applicants for employment.We will not tolerate any form of discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.#J-*****-Ljbffr
