Planeador CompradorLearn about this role at BD: Join this opportunity to become part of a 125-year history of advancing the world of health.BD is committed to innovation and improving safety and efficiency in healthcare.Job Description SummaryThe Planeador Comprador will manage the complete purchasing process for raw materials, ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply planning, supplier collaboration, inventory control, and process improvement.Provide schedules and purchase orders to suppliers according to agreed methods and supplier characteristics.Review and respond to JDE-generated MRP messages and information as required.Establish supply methods with Sr.Buyer and/or Purchasing Manager.Prepare, calculate, and report raw material PPV to the department manager.Monitor dispositions and execution of non-conforming material across all codes.Use Electronic Document System (EDS) to review component specifications.Manage the entire procurement process from purchase planning to payment for assigned part numbers or raw materials.Provide information for MRB meetings as required.Collaborate with Sr.Buyer to submit MDN to eliminate excess or obsolete material.Participate in Cost Saving Improvement Programs.Engage in supply chain process improvement initiatives.Support customs with NAFTA programs.Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels.Ensure on-time material delivery while optimizing freight cost.Work with production planner to review and respond to production needs.Manage and request materials from CIMSA warehouse.Support SBU activities such as scrap reduction programs, Kan-Ban, Kaizen, lean manufacturing initiatives.Run and analyze inventory turn reports.Utilize available computer software to generate analysis reports.Coordinate with support departments (customs, traffic, IQA, etc.) when shipment/materials need to be expedited.Contact transportation companies to expedite shipments.Define and maintain JDE ERP/MRP planning parameters for correct performance.Analyze, investigate, and correct JDE MRP system issues before executing messages.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or certificate preferred.Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience.Computer skills: Windows, MS Office.APICS or ISM certification highly preferred.Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required.Language SkillsIntermediate proficiency.Seniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionPurchasing and Supply ChainIndustriesBiotechnology Research, Medical Equipment Manufacturing, and Research ServicesPrimary Work LocationMEX Nogales South – Parque Industrial El CidAdditional Locations—Work Shift—"BD values equity in the workplace without discrimination for any disability, class, ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation."#J-*****-Ljbffr
