Area Manager, Worldwide Operations Join to apply for the Area Manager, Worldwide Operations role at Amazon Amazon is looking for high-potential leaders ready to own their impact in Amazon Operations as an Area Manager. As a front-line leader, you will invest in others and develop a people-focused leadership style while mastering tools and processes that drive the most customer-centric company on Earth. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop a team of 50 to 100 Amazon Associates. Communicate policies to Associates and serve as the primary information source for the team, ensuring compliance and consistency. Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs. Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates. Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention. Partner with management to establish and maintain quality control standards. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools. Provide tactical leadership of strategic initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional tasks and track progress. Communicate across areas to align goals and tasks for overall program success. Strategically plan and forecast to appraise performance and solve problems. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Execute cross-functional projects or large program components, including data gathering, manipulation, and analysis. Job Requirements Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts. Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or related field. 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean technique experience. English proficiency (C1+). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience using lean tools and/or holding a Green/Yellow/Black belt certification.
