Job Description Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate price, quality, delivery, and service terms Review significant or complex bids with supervisor before finalizing awards Expedite orders with suppliers to meet production schedules and resolve delays Negotiate and settle disputes with suppliers on damage claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes Conduct supplier site visits and assess performance, production capability, and delivery reliability Compile and analyze statistical data to support purchasing strategies and supplier negotiations Collaborate with Accounting to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Support lean purchasing initiatives, including Kanban systems and supplier development programs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree At least 1 year of related purchasing experience Fluent in English Strong negotiation and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate knowledge of purchasing practices for lean manufacturing, Kanban, and supplier development Some knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control Competence in computerized procurement systems Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate to advanced) MS Access experience a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
