STARTYOURCAREERIN THESCHERDELFamilyJOB POSTINGDirect Buyer IN SILAO, GUANAJUATO, MXSCHERDEL de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., located in Silao, Guanajuato since ****, is a subsidiary of SCHERDEL GmbH, located in Marktredwitz in the state of Bavaria, Germany.We are currently managed by the fourth generation of the founding family with sales and manufacturing activities at 42 sites in various European countries, North and South America and in Asia.SCHERDEL is strongly value driven and has a long track record of caring for our associates in many ways.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:- Responsible to be up to date on market aspects- Execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company's business growth and sourcing requirements- Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets.- Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, and production to proactively identify and address any issues- Coordinate and work with sales, engineering and central Procurement to manage Project Buying / Advanced Buying projects through quote and supplier development- Take part in supplier evaluation and supplier audits- Support program quote requests, supplier nomination and ensure supplier readiness- Achieves financial objectives by working with the management team to prepare the materials budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions- All the above functions are to be completed while adhering to Scherdel's global applicable regulations, such as purchasing terms and conditions, quality terms and conditions, specifications and ethical code- Works according to Scherdel's quality and environmental system requirements, and customer quality requirements**Position Requirements**:- BS / BA required- 2 years of experience in procurement and supply chain.**Competencies**:- English speaking and comprehension required- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Excellent written and verbal communication- Ability to calculate with numbers, percentages, fractions and decimal conversions and manage data in form of Microsoft XLS pivot tables and data filters- Translate business issues and operational issues into functional plans- Must be comfortable coordinating tasks across multiple functions and NA locations.- Creative thinker, with a desire and ability to look for better ways to approach issues and situations- Excellent program management and project management skills and a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Applies Comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects- Knowledge working in the automotive industry preferred.**BENEFITS**:BenefitBenefitBenefitfor all hiring inquiries.
