Sr Quality Engineer

SR QUALITY ENGINEER**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:- Engage in new product release process and ensure that quality system effectiveness have been validated to ensure quality goals are fully achieved at the time of product release.- Ensure that an appropriate quality plan is created and executed for new product launches and intercompany product transfers, including manufacturing process validation (DFMEA, FMEA, PPAP, QCP) critical to quality process/component identification and associated controls (SPC, poke-yoke), and electrical test/burn-in process coverage and yields.- Ensure that quality systems are monitored with the appropriate weekly KPI's to ensure their effectiveness in the real time identification of out-of-bounds conditions.- Leading and managing: Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and preventive action (CAR & PAR) due customer (internal-external) complaints.- Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing and test fixtures- Establish, implement and maintain the quality management system.- Responsible for planning, organizing and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions- Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.- Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits- Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as production capabilities, manufacturing problems, design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.- Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems.- Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.- Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements and operational procedures within program.- Evaluates contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program.- Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.- Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.- Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders and vendor quality standards.- Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.- Managing Quality Management System ISO ****- Root Cause Analysis- 8D Reports- Corrective Actions- Internal Audits- IPC-A-610 criteria's- Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure quality meets or exceeds planned goals.- Develop, Implement, Deploy and Maintain Quality KPIs for SMT line such as, but not limited to: solder place placement and oven temperature profile.- Maintain proper control of solder place and glue stencils- Ensure complete compliance to prescribed Lean Manufacturing and 5S processes- Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.- Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.- Develop, implement and monitor PPAP System- Interact constantly with Customer and Suppliers to develop 8D reports and ground corrective actions in process- Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.- **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:- Bachelor degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)- Master Degree preferable- Bilingual- Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).- 7+ years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.- 4+ years in quality systems maintenance- Strong ISO experience- Six Sigma Certification preferable- Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits.
