Company DescriptionHyde is embracing an evolved brand identity that is all about a festival vibe with music at its core.Hyde perfectly balances an elevated bohemian-chic aesthetic with a youthful, laidback ambience.The spaces are defined by vibrant colors and are designed to encourage serendipitous connections and new discoveries around every corner.Hyde is all about the freedom and personal discovery that comes with great music, time with friends and connecting with something bigger.Hyde is part of Ennismore, a creative hotel group rooted in cultures and destinations, with a global portfolio of brands.Ennismore is a joint venture with Accor, founded inAnd now, Hyde is making its big debut in Mexico bringing the music and festival spirit to Mexico City.Job DescriptionAs Controller, you'll partner closely with the General Manager, Ownership and Leadership team to deliver exceptional financial performance, ensure compliance, and support sustainable growth.This role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and brings a strategic yet hands-on approach.Duties & FunctionsLead the finance function across all hotel operations (rooms, food & beverage, events, and more).Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly reporting.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Partner with department heads to maximize revenue, manage costs, and drive profitability.Fully responsible for all activities of entire accounting staff including Payroll, GL, AP, AR.Responsible for all tax filings with regulatory agencies.Ensure adequate coverage for the Financial Accounting teams; oversee supervision of staff, including work allocation, scheduling, training and problem resolution.On a monthly basis, review expenditures, financial reports and other information provided to department heads to ensure accuracy, including balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations by account.Participate in the month end process with department heads to review preliminary financial statements and resolve any items, acting as a liaison between accounting and department heads.Ensure company expenditure disbursements comply with policies and are properly authorized and classified.Liaise with IT to resolve system problems related to financial systems.Coordinate activities with external and internal auditors.Conduct internal audits of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.Establish or recommend major financial objectives and policies for the hotel; keep leadership informed through meetings, reports, and direct communication as necessary.Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.QualificationsBA or BS degree with emphasis in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics is preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role within hospitality, hotels, or a related industry.A strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and F&B cost controls.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to get hands-on when required.Passionate about hospitality, with a drive to contribute to Hyde's culture and success.Experience in Hospitality, Restaurants Accounting preferred.Proficient understanding of computer systems such as Opera, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand Spanish and English.Knowledge of local and tax law.Additional InformationWhat's in it for you : The opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that's committed to not just building new hotels but building a global brand.The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.Become part of a team that's very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences and exploring new locations at every opportunity.A competitive package and plenty of opportunity for development.Discounts across the entire Ennismore family of brands.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting / Auditing and FinanceIndustriesHospitality#J-#J-*****-Ljbffr
