About Us HeadQuarters is a global start-up dedicated to empowering U.S. cannabis companies through expert support in finance, sales, operations, and logistics.Operating at the intersection of innovation and execution, we partner with high-growth cannabis businesses to streamline their back-office functions and enhance operational efficiency.Our fully remote team spans multiple countries and time zones, bringing together diverse talent and deep industry knowledge.About the role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Accounting Associate to join our growing team.In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the daily financial operations of U.S.-based clients in the cannabis industry.You'll manage recurring deliverables independently, demonstrate ownership, and suggest small improvements to existing processes.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build their skills in accounting/bookkeeping/AP/AR and grow within a collaborative and mission-driven start-up environment.Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, cash/payment applications, and journal entries Assist with AP AR processes, aging reports, data entry, documentation, and month-end close activities Deliver accurate, complete work on time while meeting quality standards and SLAs Maintain low error rates and ensure minimal need for supervisor corrections Build client trust through reliable support and contribute ideas to improve workflows Collaborate with team leads and peers in meetings, check-ins, and shared projects Develop technical expertise in accounting fundamentals, AP/AR processes, Excel, and ERP systems Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or currently in the final semester) Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience (internships or entry-level positions count) Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required); Exposure to ERP systems is a plus Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under supervision Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts quickly Minimum B2 level of English Benefits ??Competitive salary and performance-based incentives ????Fully remote work environment ??Career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company ??A collaborative and supportive team culture Our Values We are guided by curiosity, collaboration, and persistence.We seek to understand deeply, work collectively to solve complex challenges, and remain resilient in pursuit of meaningful, long-term impact.These principles shape how we operate as a team and how we support the success of our clients.Ready to make a difference together?We'd love to hear from you
