Data Quality

**Job Summary**:Responsible for establishing an enterprise data quality governance to achieve the required level of consistency, integrity, and protection to meet overall business needs.The primary goal is to monitor, track and ensure the quality of data delivered to internal stakeholders.The Data Quality & Governance Sr will ensure establishment of the quality and content of data assets in various platforms through reports and dashboards for end user subscription.The Data Quality & Governance Sr provides continuous automated and manual testing of data sets for use in internal data systems.**Job contributions and key responsibilities**:**Data Quality Governance**- Create and implement quality processes and requirements to assure data availability.- Work with data stewards and owners to identify data requirements and define business data quality objectives.- Define data compliance strategies and practices, such as continuous integration, regression testing and versioning.- Ensure the data used by their organization is accurate and consistent designing data standards with the data governance manager.- Recommend new data collection methods or technologies as needed to improve the quality of data.- Define and implement a harmonize data reference for all the domains across the company using ISO*****, ****, SCIAN, etc.- Review and define data collection storage procedures according to best practices.**Compliance**- Define the system, the indicators of the quality, performance metrics and ensure compliance with data-related standards and policies.- Enable roles & responsibilities matrix and monitor the compliance with audit team.- Create or update data models to ensure data is stored in an organized manner.**Data Management Operations**- Work with other departments to establish procedures for data collection and analysis.- Review data to identify patterns or trends that may indicate errors or inconsistencies, manage pattern-based tests to recommend solutions.- Design, monitor and maintain QA reports, KPIs & quality trends for the internal data systems.- Create tools or procedures for verifying the accuracy of incoming data, analyze root cause to proactively suggest corrective action sand improvements.- Create and implement plans to improve data quality that need to be addressed to the data stewards or stakeholders.**Data Governance Champion**- Ambassador of evangelize data-driven culture.- Educate business users, partners, and stakeholder across the company regarding data management.- Answerable for learning up-to-date current trends and standards or best practice for data quality framework.**Risk Management**- Focus on minimizing the risk of regulatory processes (ex. ARCO rights).- Continually assess and identify risks in line with risk management approach, ensuring they are mitigated and accounted for work within the data governance program.- Develop and deliver data retention or archive standards in conjunction with database and security team, and other key stakeholders.**Talent Management**- Provide technical directions and mentor other data engineers.- Manage relationships with business and technical teams.- Conducting performance evaluations of employees.- Monitoring team performance to ensure objectives are met.**Skills & Knowledge**:- Proficiency in SQL queries-Intermediate- Experience working in a Big Data environment, dealing with large diverse data sets.- Articulate issues to developers during meetings and particularly in the daily standups-Advance- Demonstrate familiarity with navigating data ecosystems (data warehouses, data lakes, structured and unstructured data, file types, BI systems) -Intermediate.- Strong ability to extract information by questioning, active listening, and interviewing-Intermediate- Effectively manages projects-Advance- Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to teach both formally and informally-Intermediate**Education Level**:- Bachelor's Degree, Master is a plus / Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management**Years of experience**:- 5 years in areas related to the position, with 3 years in Data Governance or Data Quality**Licenses**:- Not required**Languages**:- English / Ingles - Advanced- Spanish / Español - Fluent**Travel requirements**:- 10% international and 20% domestic
