Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness. About Cardiovascular Our Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. We elevate standards of care for stroke, heart failure and atrial fibrillation patients. Purpose Under supervision of the NPI Process Excellence Manager, the Technician will support engineering teams with capacity studies and continuous improvement for new products. Responsibilities Monitor proper application of SOPs using lean manufacturing tools. Develop improvements oriented to lean principles for new processes and manage related changes. Report progress and risk to the NPI Process Excellence Manager. Communicate business issues or opportunities to higher management. Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Ensure subordinates follow HSE guidelines and have necessary resources. Maintain compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned. Work independently on complex assignments involving process analysis and lean tools. Review capacity studies and new line balancing with other technicians. Train associates on departmental initiatives. Provide guidance on lean tools usage. Update project plans and report on progress to leaders. Support training material development for standard jobs and lean tools. Analyze graphics, tables, schemes, drawings and presentations. Design layout proposals for production workstations. Manage equipment and tool installations in clean rooms. Create line flow simulations with software such as FlexSim or Plant Simulator. Analyze process data using descriptive statistics. Identify improvement and innovation opportunities focused on KPI optimization. Act as point of contact with suppliers, following procedures. Prepare protocols and reports for evaluations and process changes. Develop, write and document new procedures in the PLM system. Define necessary MES system changes in collaboration with MES departments. Experience and Education High school diploma or technical degree minimum required. 6 to 8 years of experience; knowledge in medical products industry preferred. English language proficiency preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma tools expected; Green Lean Belt certification preferred. Proficiency in graphic, table and presentation software. High level of creativity and proactivity. Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming preferred. Currently studying or recently graduated from a Professional Engineering degree preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications, Licenses, and Affiliations Experience in medical products industry and/or Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Proficiency with computer packages (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Minitab, FlexSim, etc.). Experience with Windchill PLM (preferred). Experience with MES Camstar (preferred). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma tools expected.
