Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Production is responsible for overseeing the daily operations across all shifts within a large manufacturing facility or multiple production sites. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in performance, quality, and cost control, while leading and developing a high-performing operations team. What will you do: Lead staffing, development, and performance management initiatives for operations personnel; coach and empower the management team to achieve operational excellence. Oversee all production activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, production schedules, and performance targets. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, cost efficiency, and quality assurance. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and foster a safe, reliable, and high-performing manufacturing environment. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related to the field Fluent English Skills: Quality Management: Applies advanced quality assurance tools and methodologies Leads quality reviews and communicates the value of quality systems. Develops programs to motivate teams toward achieving quality objectives. Analytical Thinking: Identifies root causes of issues and evaluates alternative solutions. Quantifies risks and benefits to guide strategic decisions. Applies diverse analytical tools to support operational improvements. Planning & Organizing: Prioritizes tasks effectively and manages conflicting demands. Develops contingency plans and tracks progress to ensure successful outcomes. Coordinates resources and timelines to meet production goals. Performance Management: Supports employee development through feedback, training, and recognition. Aligns performance goals with organizational objectives and monitors progress. Uses formal and informal tools to enhance individual and team performance. Manufacturing Operations: Oversees daily production activities to meet targets and forecasts. Facilitates cross-functional communication and ensures policy compliance. Evaluates risks and recommends industry benchmarks for operational excellence. Manufacturing Safety: Conducts safety inspections and ensures OSHA compliance. Develops emergency response procedures and promotes safety culture. Identifies and addresses emerging safety risks across the facility. Manufacturing Standards, Procedures & Policies: Participates in the development and implementation of manufacturing standards. Ensures procedural compliance and provides feedback for continuous improvement. Communicates the rationale and importance of standards within the team. Production Scheduling & Control: Coordinates production documentation and ensures timely job completion. Diagnoses production issues and implements corrective actions. Manages demand patterns and lead times to optimize production flow.
