Role Aspen Technology is looking for individuals to join our growing Product Quality Team to play the role of Sr Software Quality Engineer including functional and nonfunctional testing (Performance and Test Automation testing) of Aspen Products providing next generation Engineering, Manufacturing and Asset Optimization solutions. This is your opportunity to play an important role in this cutting-edge transformation. We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a good understanding of software development practices, to help us create and execute testing approaches for our market-leading products. This individual will create test strategies from concept, design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance while assuring that the product line conforms to established requirements and standards. This individual will also be responsible for gathering functional requirements, information and data to proactively drive best practices from a quality perspective into the product while collaborating with R&D and Product Management. This individual is responsible for creating automated scripts and performance benchmarking and scalability, with understanding of SAAS performance testing aspects a plus. Your Impact Ability to create test procedures and objectives (including test environments, installation, upgrades, and configuration) in accordance with the technical specs. Ability to conduct requirements analysis, design of test strategy and test cases, execution and defect reporting. Ability to create automated scripts for API, UI, System, Integration, performance benchmarking and scalability. Ability to maintain and execute test automation including UI, API, backend using PowerShell, Playwright. Ability to develop, maintain and execute performance scalability and stress testing, VSTS tools. K6 & Grafana knowledge is a plus. Ability to engage with cross functional team on project updates, review outcome and performance analysis. Develop, maintain and support tools for day-to-day quality activities using C#, PowerShell, Python. Good understanding of different deployment infrastructures, virtualization technologies, Cloud (PAAS/SAAS). Ensure effective bi-directional communications between US and MXC development centers. Experience with Scrum methodology. What You'll Need BS in Engineering with Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or Equivalent major required. 4 to 10 years of experience in validating complex software testing projects. Ability to create automated scripts for Web applications, basic programming, e.g., Python desirable. Working experience with test automation, performance, databases, and test tools is desirable. Experience in knowledge of software development methodologies cycle is a plus. Knowledge of Artificial intelligence techniques is a plus.
