Travel 0-20%. Work Site Location Guadalajara.Job Objective: MCC has extensive experience in the manufacturing and delivery of high-quality semiconductor products. We are looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) in Guadalajara. The FAE will be responsible for the technical support of our customers and channel partners in the Americas region, with a clear focus on Discrete Semiconductor products (Diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, IGBTs, SiC Technology, TVS & ESD protection Diodes). What you will do Work with MCC distribution partner and customers' technical team to achieve design-wins and increase account penetration. Special focus on SiC (Diodes/MOSFETs) and IGBT products. Support the development of tools for sales promotion such as application kits or test boards, work with IC partners on reference designs and support the creation of valuable content for promotion activities. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (prepare customer presentations and product/application trainings). Support the sales teams in identifying new opportunities by maintaining excellent relationships with the customer’s technical team. Interface with R&D and Product Marketing on new product definition and technology requirements. Collect and summarize market intelligence information and provide feedback to the respective product team. Work with a regional or global team to achieve assigned tasks and objectives. Attend and actively participate in strategic regional meetings. What you will bring Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in microelectronics, applied physics, electronic science and technology, or related fields. Experience (Must): Minimum 4 years+ hands-on experience across major components of semiconductor solutions with focus on power management; 4 years+ design or applications engineering experience with semiconductor products and technology; sound experience in technology sales; adequate years of experience in power electronics. Knowledge (Must): Understanding of the semiconductor industry market forces and dynamics. Good understanding of different types of power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, Diodes) and experience in device selection for different applications. Abilities/Qualities: Excellent flexibility, motivation, networking; negotiation skills with customers facing technical challenges; ability to manage multiple projects and activities at one time; travel approximately 40% (amount varies based on candidate residence). Skills/Certifications: Fluent in English.
