Our vision aims to empower our clients by actively leveraging our broad range of services.With our global presence, we have career opportunities all across the world which can lead to a unique, exciting and fulfilling career path.Pick your path todayTo see what career opportunities we have available, explore below to find your next careerAcuity International is currently seeking a Foreign National Patient Administration Technician to support our mission in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.**Duties**:- Provide support to patient administration in a medical setting.- Contact health care providers, laboratories, and hospitals to obtain demographic and confidential patient information.- Process medical records for new admissions to facility; acquires, monitors and accounts for the medical records which accompany those patients transferred in from other institutions.- Assist with patient registration and help assign beds and carry out procedures to admit, transfer, or discharge patients.- Input patient information into computer system.- Provide administrative support for patient accountability, patient affairs, medical records and patient movement.- Compile data and prepare reports on outpatient visits, inpatient visits, admissions, and dispositions.- Assist in preparing reports on deaths and any other reportable conditions, which need to be submitted to authorities in accordance with and state and federal laws.- Provide copies of medical records, release of medical information, provider prescriptions for laboratory.- Review medical records for completeness, consistency and compliance.May assist with regular medical record audit in coordination with the medical staff.- Ensure diagnoses and procedures are supported in the medical record and appropriately reported.- Identify health record deficiencies, tracks deficiencies and ensures that the appropriate individual completes their deficiencies.- Assist in expediting the completion of the health record when the patient is transferred for care at another medical center, for legal requests, regulatory agencies review, and reimbursement purposes.- Prepare weekly and monthly reports noting the status of all incomplete/delinquent records and compliance reports and submits the reports to the appropriate administrative and clinical staff.- Review health records for adherence with guidelines related to resident supervision and attending physician presence.- Prepare weekly and monthly reports noting the status of all incomplete/delinquent health records and submits the reports to the appropriate administrative and clinical staff.- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years work experience in health information technology/health information management or one year of relevant experience in a similar role in a hospital setting that indicates knowledge of medical terminology, privacy and release of information.- Verifiable experience working with electronic health records and electronic health reporting systems in a healthcare setting.- Working knowledge of medical terminology related to communicable diseases.- Ability to work both independently and to work positively within a team environment maintaining professionalism.- Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products.- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.- Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner.**Requirements**:- Must have a current passport.- Must be Fluent in speaking and writing English.- Favorable background check.- May be required to attend specialized training.Physical Requirements:- Must undergo a pre-deployment physical and meet fitness for duty requirements.- No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs.of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.- Location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.- May require bending, stooping and lifting as required for patient care and transport.Acuity International is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.For OFCCP compliance, the taxable entity associated with this job posting is:CHSi (LCN/FCN)
