Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the world's manufacturers be more productive, sustainable, and agile.With more than 28,000 employees who make the world better every day, we know we have something special.Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world, provide life-saving medicine on a global scale, and focus on clean water and green mobility - our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better.We welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work.And if that's you we would love to have you join us**Job Description**:**Position Objective**:- Support the industrialization design execution of NPI and CE initiatives to meet objectives around Df(x), time to market, and total product cost.Use Df(x) tools and provide consistent feedback early and often in the design process.A Sr.Engineer may work with a team of industrialization design engineers for large scale projects or may be responsible for leading smaller scale programs.They are responsible for supporting the creation of a comprehensive manufacturing design specification.They will then collaborate with the local NPI build team to carry out the plan to ensure a successful pilot and launch of the product.These team members are required to have good knowledge of the product they are supporting, gained through experience or time spent with their development counterparts.For programs utilizing the SAFe methodology, they are responsible for supporting the objectives via the stories they are assigned, aligning with their product owners' priority and timeline.**Essential Job Functions**:- Works with engineering design and manufacturing engineering build team to ensure optimum product and process design for manufacturability for a new product introduction (NPI)- Collaborates with development engineering to leverage Df(x) to reduce labor time, improve ease of assembly, and obtain product cost targets- Supports development of comprehensive manufacturing specification and validates against digital twins- Supports the NPI build team in executing manufacturing pilots and transfer to manufacturing engineering- Supports development of the associated documentation and estimates manufacturing cost- With direction in the form of a SAFe stories and support from architects or product owners or SME project engineers in the industrial design organization support the introduction of new products through design for initiatives and through the manufacturing design specification in accordance with the RA common product development (CPD) processes- Works on issues of medium scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors- Exercises judgement in supporting the selection of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results- Teach other industrialization engineers how to perform the work that is expected of them, the business processes that they participate in, and how to use the various tools (e.g. business system, computer programs, etc.) needed to complete their work- Support research, development and implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projects- Some travel is required (10% - 15%); possibly international- Ability to operate, respond, and work in multiple time zones as required**Basic Qualifications**:- Bachelor of science degree in industrial/mechanical/electrical engineering, or equivalent degree or education**Preferred Qualifications**:- Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies like process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA)- Exhibit good organizational and interpersonal skills- Understanding and can demonstrate design for assembly, cost and automation on an NPI- Work concurrently on multiple NPI and non-NPI projects- Ability to support a design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) and collaborate to achieve manufacturability and product cost- Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering- Demonstrated understanding of new product introduction process (NPI)- Participation in a new product design evaluation process- Knowledge of project management- Knowledge of proven manufacturing process and how to apply- Ability to execute transactions in an enterprise resource planning system, preferably SAP- Good written and verbal communications in English- Proficient using Microsoft Office programs- Experience in a role as part of a cross functional project teams to ensure manufacturing validation strategies are efficient and stream-lined with an end-to-end perspective- Execute project work according to project schedules**Leadership Competencies Required**:- Can work under general direction but must be able to self-direct and adjust to changes in priority and scope- Use facts and logic to influence others- Ability to lead and manage priorities fo
