Overview:You don't have to be an employee long before you understand the SSOE difference.It goes back to our history of reinventing ourselves for new markets, serious rates of growth year after year, and being ahead of the curve in technology.Those are the achievements of a company that rewards talent and effort in ways that mean the most to the individual.When you work at SSOE, you work with the best and you're a part of something bigger than yourself.And providing the best possible workplace for our employees gives us a competitive advantage-helping us attract and retain top talent and drive better business results.**Responsibilities**:Mechanical Design Engineer/Mechanical Designer with strong AutoCAD experience (2D) to design Architectural layouts, Mechanical / Process Schematics and general routing for the semiconductor/chip manufacturing industry.This group performs high volume and turns around packages quickly to meet schedules.The Design Engineer / Designer will perform design as well as help build a team locally to support design remotely by coaching and working with other designers and engineers in local office.Design Tool Installation packages.Packages to include Architectural layouts, Schematics, Facility Data information, General Routing, and Details.- Create Schematic to show tool components (Fab / Subfab) full utilities (exhaust, drawings, water, process piping, BCDS, specialty gases).- Develop fab/Subfab partial plans for mechanical routing and elevation details as required.- Create custom details as required or ensure latest client details are in the design packages.- For each architectural layout:- Locate equipment, position in drawing and provide dimensions, call out standard details as required.- Develop Schematics:- Create detailed mechanical schematics including sizing and material type for all utilities (chemicals, drains, exhausts, water, high/low purity).- Generate Routing plans:- Create detailed Fab routing plans for utilities to the equipment.- Designer will coordinate work with local designers / engineers- Designer will answer RFI's and update drawings for Record Drawings.- Perform all appropriate calculations (as needed).- Coordinate needs and develops an understanding with other design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Architectural) for design package needs.- May create first of a kind designs using supplier information.- Ensure quality control by complying with team design Drafting and CAD standards.- The Design Engineer / Designer will perform design as well as coach and develop other designers locally.- Travel required for initial training.Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in the engineering preferred.- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience related designer experience with former employer(s).- Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD software.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).- Good written and verbal communication skills.- Semiconductor and/or Industrial design experience a plus.
