We are hiring for a Packaging DirectorGeneral Purpose:This position will report to the VP, Enterprise support and will be primarily focused on spearheading and leading global packaging team along with integration and qualification projects for new and existing automotive aftermarket products that support new business commercialization activities. In addition, this role will be responsible for establishing packaging related processes such as quality standards and testing requirements to make the packaging qualification process more efficient.Lead packaging team to support large-scale packaging projects from ideation to completion while collaborating with internal packaging plants, packaging suppliers and customers. This position will provide the key link between the Product Engineering, Marketing and Sales groups as well as the Procurement Team.Principal Accountabilities:Lead, manage and develop global packaging team consisting of packaging engineers, structural engineers, packaging specialists and graphic designersManage the packaging development process and projects, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development and specification and testing.Build strong internal and external relationships with key business partners to support new product launches and key initiatives.Ability to work with packaging manufacturing plants to provide technical support, including leading line trials, to operations and engineering through the development and commercialization of a new product, and as needed thereafter.Bring experience, rigor and efficiency in overall packaging design and engineering support to the company and support vertical integration of packaging manufacturing within the operationsMust be able to prioritize team activitiesManage packaging vendor base and deliver cost savings and synergiesQualifications:Bachelors degree is required. (Packaging or Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred)Minimum of 10 years of experience in packaging functions, preferably in the automotive industry or Consumer packaged goods industryStrong leadership skillsStrong project management skills or experience leading large-scale projectsUnderstanding of process improvement and quality improvement conceptsAbility to multi-task and possess sense of urgency to meet time-sensitive deadlinesProblem solving and decision-making skills are necessaryExperience in sustainable/ green packaging and processesVISA to travel to the United States (Requirement)Software Experience:Adobe IllustratorArtiosCADCAPE
