journey today# Role and Responsibilities# We are seeking a highly skilled General Accounting Senior Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS).This role will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day processing of general accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in entries, while compiling financial reports and analysis.# Accountabilities* Supervise the general accounting team with 2-7 direct reports, providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive performance and professional development.* Oversee daily financial data entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.* Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured.Prepare detailed financial data for management review and facilitate necessary adjustments.* Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and reports that deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.* Review and present financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data and streamline reporting processes.* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the general accounting function, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and risk management strategies.* Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects, such as financial data analysis and process improvements# Qualifications and ExperienceEssential:* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration or a related field* 3-6 years of relevant experience with general accounting.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlinesPreferred:· Master's degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation# Technical Skills and KnowledgeEssential:· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite· Familiarity with Oracle ERP Suite and its related modules· Familiarity with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM)· Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.E., US GAAP and IFRS)# LanguagesFluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.Portuguese is a plus.**Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:**This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office
