At AUTOKINITON, we are building a better foundation for every vehicle on the road.Reasons to Love Working HereLearning and Development OpportunitiesGrowth Opportunities with tuition reimbursement programs, upward mobility and much morePosition SummarySupervises the activities of hourly colleagues to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Company''s mission, vision, values and goals in daily activities.Provide performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when necessary.Provide key input in the development of departmental strategic objectives and the identification of key measurable indicators to support those objectives.Provide direction and leadership in accordance with the objectives of the business plan of the plant.Manage safety, quality, production and delivery objectives of the maintenance department in the area of responsibility.Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to support production work.Manage preventive maintenance programs.Ensure discipline and maximum utilization and efficiency of equipment.Drive shift manning levels and utilization to ensure budget compliance.Promote positive morale and ensure a team concept.Maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the team.Coordinate and evaluate necessary training and team building.Assist in orientation of new colleagues.Complete individual work team performance reviews for probationary colleagues.Track, monitor and implement improvement activities related to business plan objectives.Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction objectives.Provide training needed for colleagues to succeed in their duties.Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team.Enter work orders in the MLS system and ensure timely completion.Communicate overtime schedule to the work team.Assist in creating new jobs and enter hours of individual colleagues in the Kronos system.Maintain daily communication markers for each line.Communicate key information through the daily "turn to shift" communication plan.Coordinate engineering changes assigned by Champion with all departments.Participate in root cause analysis and team problem‑solving activities (e.g., 8D reports, department meetings).Support plant activities to achieve customer awards and quality records (e.g., TS 16949/ISO 14001).Prepare accident reports with root cause identification and corrective action.Ensure all direct reports understand and are accountable for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responsibilities.Provide necessary tools and materials for safe and efficient duty performance.Ensure correct use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE).Adhere to all internal safety procedures and OSHA requirements.Maintain a positive working relationship with all organizational levels.Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the work area.QualificationsPreferably two to five years as a maintenance supervisor.Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping and/or assembly processes required for the position.Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.ComplianceCompliance with all company policies and procedures (e.g., Quality Policies Manual, Colleagues Manual, Level II procedures). #J-18808-Ljbffr
