Some careers have more impact than others.If you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join GSC HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of**Wholesale Credit Decisioning Analytics VP****Role purpose**:Decision Science job family is structured to address business problems with quantitative solutions like building of predictive algorithms / forecasting / scenario simulations etc.Members of this Job Family are differentiated by their capability of converting a business problem into a quantitative construct, solve it with available statistical / mathematical methods (following the right rigour), engage with IT to implement and finally interpret the model outcomes in business language.The range of business problems may cover areas of business growth, improving customer experience, limiting risk exposure, capital quantification, enhancing internal business processes etc**Main activities**:- Converse both in technical and business language across the stakeholder matrix- Build and manage stress testing models for CCAR.Responsible for entire lifecycle of collecting data, building and implementing models, and performance tracking.- Perform wholesale credit risk model development including IFRS9/ CECL Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD) and Exposure at Default (EAD) Models.Support UAT testing for the redevelopment of IFRS9/ CECL PD/ LGD/EAD models- Lead the decision science practice with high quality analytical solutions for the business stakeholders across one of more regions- Design, architect and manage analytics processes and infrastructure and define initiatives with senior management- Supports innovative analytical thinking & solutions that results into improved business performance- Interface with the business to increase awareness on how to leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques by business communities- Champions changes by partnering with Global / Regional leaders and establish analytics driven business model- Standardize analytical methodologies and create iterative/ agile environment- Embrace market / industry best practices and bring-in best-in-class and relevant solutions for better business decisions- Support decisions with sound reasoning and rationale and data analysis- Keeping abreast of all regulatory developments together with changes to Group Standards in order to ensure appropriateness of advice- Be able to learn new skills and build knowledge quickly- Translate complex ideas into easily understandable solutions and documentation- Work independently and with remote teams**Requirements**:**Knowledge & Experience**- Good understanding of the business activities for a large global banking group with diverse operations from retail banking, wealth management, commercial banking, global banking, investments, transaction services, asset management, private banking and insurance.- Familiarity with credit risk modeling and stress testing.- Proven ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings to Senior Management team- Proficiency in (Python, SQL, R, and SAS), Open source technologies, and Machine Learning- 10+ years of experience of using statistical concepts & machine learning models to solve complex business problems- At least Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management or other quantitative fields of study- Detail-orientated, strong interpersonal and organizational skills- Understanding of advanced statistical methods/functions- Understanding business requirements and ability to convert these into positive systems changesYou'll achieve more when you join HSBC**Issued by HSBC Electronic Data Processing (México) Private LTD
